Ok, we start at the point this is
an album, don't we? So, here we find a pile of songs, some
dudes playing their instruments, and some things at a place.
Then, if I'm talking about an album and I'm writing about
its content, this must be a musical review, doesn't it? Oooop,
if I'm wrong you just tell me I am, quietly, no problem. Well,
once centered with the topic, let's begin strip the album.
So here we have a new gothic work, with female vocals… I don't
know why, but each time I write "gothic with female vocals"
I have the sensation of a deja vu. Left Hand Solution aren't
rookies in the scene, because they already have over eight
years of musical career, although they haven't been much prolific
in the field of the discographic releases.
And you'll ask me: what's the difference between this gothic
band and all the rest? Well, don't suffer my little friends,
I can find the difference between two water drops. The main
distinction we find in this album is a kind of aureole of
musical maturity, basically expressed in the voice of Miss
Mariana Holmberg; this voice constantly transmits a vital
experience feeling, of a woman who has seen things nobody
else has, and who's returning from everything. All this vital
and musical experience is also expressed in the music with
some rock/blues stuff, which combined with the gothic result
very interesting.
So, if you're wishing to listen to melancholic music but you're
tired of so many soft and virginal voices, Left Hand Solution
is a good option to complete your cd's collection.
