Did anyone flip out with New American Shame? In that case, with a similar style although showing increased power, here comes American Pearl, also flying the American flag, showing tattoos all over and with aesthetics more alternative than rockabilly-oriented.
These four Americans present, without complexes, an extremely direct and rock oriented proposal with a 100% American sound.
The guitars are influenced by the Slash of the first G'n'R, by Kiss and the slow songs sound a lot like Extreme.
Innovations? None... Well, OK, there are no half or totally naked blondes on the cover, and they do not use the US flag for decoration; they have based the concept on a more classic black and white design with some touches of color, and a lot of tattoos, something like Rose Tattoo's "Assault & Battery", from which they surely have learned to play a great fresh, fast and powerful rock'n'roll, and this definition is maybe their best presentation, since what they are attempting is to innovate, not invent. Leopards never change their spots, we tend to live in bars, and American Pearl tend towards a pure classic rock oriented hard rock, although much more powerful than all of that.
Don't miss the great first song, "California" (they weren't going to call it "Sevilla" seeing the style they play, were they?), which has an incredible feeling, in addition to the power I mentioned above.
