Andromeda
Títle 2 Equals 1 (2002)
Label

It is evident that progressive rock is not the most hard, fast and powerful metal style there is; it isn't even among those that deliver the greatest energy, but that wouldn't make us label it as slow, puff, boring or with any other similar adjectives.

Well, this second record of the Swedes Andromeda serves a bit to destroy a part of what had been achieved during these past years, when progressive rock had managed to become one of the most admired and respected sub-styles of the metallic audience. The record is boring, extremely boring, a nightmare, sheer torture, and to top it all, it doesn't reveal many technical musical wonders, neither individually or from a broader band point of view.

Listening to this record actually became a personal challenge, because if I managed to get to the end of Luca Turilli's, I was under a moral obligation to swallow this "2 equals 1": however, I realized then that Turilli's record was a bit more pleasant because you could laugh your head off quite frequently, something this "2 equals 1" does not allow you to do, although it does have quite an important musical seriousness.

Those that went crazy with the debut album of this Swedish band from the galaxy of Andromeda will probably be disappointed by this second release, because they have absolutely nothing to do with each other.
