Constancy
is revealed as one of the most wealthy virtues of these Swedish
Vikings, since in just five years they've released four of
their five albums, the Metal Blade era ones, each one better
than the previous. But, if that wasn't enough, the band's
wheeled drakkar, the home of these boys in the long seasons
they're far of their land searching for silver and the glory
of Valhalla, hasn't stopped running all this time. Always
tireless.
The One-Eyed, presiding over the Gods dwelling, has exerted
once again his unpayable influence over the Swedish quintet,
making their inspiration not to be surrounded by the always
menacing Metal mist, which turns oneself into something grey
and mediocre. "Fate of Norns" is, for sure, the
best Amon Amarth work hitherto, too being the best moulding
of the band's labour and their amount of experience. In "Fate
of Norns" is reached a non habitual level of epic expression
worthy of bands, like Amon Amarth, that assimilate the Nordic
mythology as something very, more than an exotic reference
to another culture and times.
