The union between two of the best melodic heavy metal vocalists is not always going to become a success... but with Magnus Karlsson (Last Tribe) behind the project, this is not going to fail. We don’t need to say much about Sir Russell Allen and Jorn Lande: They are two unique singers in the world. With all that, “The Revenge” is an album that you should have. It is not very original, indeed, its style is similar to their previous work. But the quality of these music monsters make of it a must-have album. The twelve songs in it are catchy and with high quality. To avoid ego problems, Jorn sings three songs, Russel three more, and the other six are sung by both vocalists.
It’s curious to notice that in some moments it’s not easy to know which voice is sounding at the moment. Hard Rock lovers are going to enjoy this album with beautiful guitar and voice melodies, I can tell that. Oh, and the front cover was made by Mr. Rodney Matthews, who has made covers for the band Magnum and others… which I consider really ugly… hehe.
