Agonizer
Títle Birth / The End (2007)
Label Spinefarm

At last! After don't know how many demos and a bunch of years overshadowed by everybody, without a record company, but with a great dream of triumphing in music world, the Finnish band, Agonizer, hast reached their purpose. First, to keep loyal to their principles and fight pursuing this dream until watching it made real. Second, to form for one of the most important labels in the whole world. And third, to bring out their first official creation: "Birth / The End".
The whole of this debut album is really positive and leave us with very good sensations. Melodic Heavy Metal composed of long songs, quite complete, and the same musical quality that from years ago we were foreseen, with that powerful and so characteristic voice and a surprising sound. We can even notice the maturity of the years of work, the aspiration and ilusion that has brought them here. Maybe the only thing that I miss in this disc is the presence of clear and blunt changes of ryhtm able to break what in some moments become linear. And if to that correction it could be added the presence of some voice of distinct tone (maybe feminine) doubling the main voice in the choirs, I think that we would be close to perfection.
Let's hope that the album's title isn't a reality of the present and future of the Finnish band. At this point we can't finish just like this. We have been waiting for this moment for a long time and now we want to enjoy with them of their moment.
