Agonizer
Títle World of Fools (2004) -demo-
Label Self Production

From Finland comes a new demo from the yet incomprehensibly unknown band Agonizer. We do not usually review records with only two or three songs, and this demo, despite having four, only includes two new ones, since the other two are from their previous demo "Cain". Some of you may think that we do it because of our friendship with them, because we like them, because they have promised to buy us some beers, because they have provided us with a great many pretty girls ready to satisfy our basic sexual needs. Well, whoever thought something like that... isn't too far away from the truth, despite not having talked directly with the band about the girls, we understand there would be no problem at all.

Given the good vibes between the Finnish band and the Paranoia Metal Show team, I must explain that if I am bothering to do the review of a demo by a band almost unknown out of their country, it is because, as I myself said in the review of their previous "Cain", this band is worth it, and the problem is there seems to be no way for a record company to notice and commit to them. I'm not asking them to invest a fortune, but a minimum wouldn't be too hard, especially seeing some of the dreadful new records released lately. And Agonizer has nothing to envy anyone.

I agree, this, more than a review, is a pro-Agonizer manifesto. Look at it as you wish, but "World of Fools" is another of those examples that the musical world is too unfair for some.
