After Forever
Títle Remagine (2005)
Label Transmission Records
We were fascinated by "Invisible Circles", though we found that some parts weren't appropiate and songs that told the history when it would have been better that they were a musical reference. Now we have found this "Remagine" and we have the hope that they would keep that line but with a more complete CD, musicaly talking. And, refering to the music, it has, it's a good improvement regarding to their last work. But there's a problem (and I don't mean Floor Jansen's horrible haircut), and it's that the male voices, both gutural and clean, have the job of giving strength to the songs, and Floor's voice just remains to bear the weight of the melody. That means that we are left without miss Jansen's voice in the hardest parts, one of the privileged female voices (and maybe including the male voices) that keeps her strength and vitality when it turns high.

If in their last CD stood out songs where this vocal melodies highten our feelings, now we have to resing ourselves and just enjoy listening to good music with a great voice combination. Ok, it is enough to be content, but I miss the magic of songs like "Two Sides" or "Between Love and Fire".
